Welcome to Personal Training by Kelly.  I’m a Personal Trainer and Running coach in northern Vermont.  I like to work with people of all ages and abilities and help them adopt a healthy lifestyle by making exercise a regular part of their daily routine.

Check out my Personal Training page if you are interested in working one-on-one with me in setting realistic fitness goals, helping me to develop a resistance training and cardio program for you and teaching you how to perform the program and incorporate it into your life.  We will establish a starting point with a fitness evaluation, track your progress along the way and periodically re-evaluate your fitness, checking results towards your goals and modify your program as necessary.  Together, we’ll work towards losing those unwanted pounds, gain muscle tone, and improve your overall health and appearance.

If you’re a runner or want to be a runner, then check out my Running Coach page.  When I began running in 1999, it was mainly for fun and fitness.  I was a stay-at-home mom and it was important to me to be able to keep up with and stay ahead of my two toddler boys.  Back then, I never dreamed that in 2005 I would be training for my first ultra event (the VT50K) and then be developing my own training plan to successfully complete my first 100 mile endurance run in 2008.  Whether you’re contemplating your first or your tenth 5k, half marathon, marathon or ultra marathon-I can help get you there with a training plan specific to your current fitness level and lifestyle.  I like to train by heart rate so I subscribe to Training Peaks to track my miles and log my training data like weight, time, distance and how I’m feeling in general.  I also use Training Peaks as a coach and it is available in most of my programs to my clients.  It is where I post their training plans, monitor their progress and make changes as needed so I'm not limited to who I can coach.

Call, email or use the contact page for any further information about personal training or coaching.  If you see me at a race, feel free to introduce yourself and strike up a conversation.  I really enjoy sharing the passion of training and running with other runners and fitness enthusiasts.
